Refined for the mountain and built to go further, the Fierce MTN Reaper 2.0 is the lightest folding chassis rifle in the Fierce lineup — purpose-built for backcountry hunters who refuse to choose between performance and packability. Combining a Dual-Lug Titanium Action with an ultra-light magnesium chassis, C3 carbon fiber stock, M-LOK carbon fiber handguard, and a hand-lapped C3 carbon barrel, the titanium configuration starts at just 5.8 lbs with a .5 MOA accuracy guarantee.

The stock folds to the right, protecting the bolt handle during pack-in and keeping the rifle trail-ready when it counts. Updated for 2.0 with a push-button adjustable cheekpiece featuring added carbon fiber reinforcement and an all-new folding stock design built for smoother, more durable operation in demanding terrain. The TriggerTech Primary Pro comes set at 2.5 lbs, adjustable from 1.5 to 4 lbs, and the ergo pistol grip keeps control natural under any conditions. QD flush cups, a dropbox mag, and a suppressor-ready threaded barrel round out the kit. Available in 10 calibers from .22 Creedmoor and 6.5 PRC to 7mm PRC, .300 Win Mag, and .300 PRC. Purpose-built for extreme terrain. Proven on the mountain. Starting at $3,199.

MTN Reaper — Frequently Asked Questions

Models & Specs

The 2.0 is Fierce's current-generation model for 2026 and has a different / updated buttstock design compared to the 2025 MTN Reaper. If you see a Reaper with a different-looking stock at a retailer, it's likely the older 2025 version rather than a different product.

The MTN Reaper uses a titanium action (lighter weight, and paired with what Fierce considers a higher-quality trigger with less creep). The Reaper HTAC uses a stainless steel action, making it slightly heavier. Both share the same general chassis / platform otherwise.

Yes — and a sling can remain attached to the rifle even while the stock is folded.

The Claw attaches to a tripod and holds the rifle in it — useful for rifles without a built-in ARCA interface. However, the MTN Reaper 2.0 has a built-in ARCA rail that mounts directly to a compatible tripod head, so the Claw generally isn't needed for this rifle.

  • 7mm PRC: available in 20", 22", and 24".
  • 7mm Backcountry: available down to 18" (Fierce recommends not going shorter than 18" given the twist rate / design for that cartridge).
  • 22-250: available with a 24" barrel, using a 1:12 twist, with good reported results.

As a rule of thumb, each 2" of barrel length makes roughly a 75–100 fps difference; a 22" barrel typically runs around 2,950 fps.

Yes — LOP on the MTN Reaper 2.0 can be shortened to as little as 13", and the previous year's model can also be built to a custom LOP.

No reported issues under normal day-to-day shooting. Fierce has only seen delamination-type issues during extreme torture testing well beyond typical use.

Availability & Ordering

It began shipping in mid-2026 and has been gradually rolling out to dealers as their orders come in — availability at any specific retailer will vary, so check with a specific dealer or order direct.

As of May 2026, it was not yet confirmed available in Canada — if this matters for your order, confirm current status directly with sales.

Generally 2–3 months, with ~3 months being the most frequently quoted figure across mid-2026 threads. As always, treat this as a snapshot rather than a guarantee — confirm current timing with sales, especially around hunting-tag deadlines.

Fierce has occasionally offered in-stock rifles from last year's model (e.g., specific caliber / barrel / color combos ready to ship same-day) as a faster alternative to a new custom 2.0 build if timing is tight.

Not always — it has gone temporarily out of stock (roughly a week or so) at times; check current availability or ask sales to notify you when back in stock.

Yes — if the rifle hasn't been built / shipped, Fierce can generally swap the scope on an existing order at the customer's request.

None as of mid-2026 in the threads reviewed, though accessories have periodically been discounted on the website — worth checking current sales rather than assuming a fixed promo exists.

Troubleshooting

This has been treated as an individual service case rather than a documented general cause — if you're seeing persistent accuracy issues after trying multiple ammo types, this is a "contact us directly" situation rather than a known common fix.
