The Dirti™ 8 is Fierce Firearms’ first suppressor, held to the same standard as our rifles: precision built, field proven, and engineered for hunters who count ounces. Constructed of 100% Grade 5 titanium with eight fully welded baffles, it delivers an average sound reduction to 134.4 dB with .308 Win in a can that weighs as little as 9.9 oz — light enough to live on your mountain rifle instead of in your safe.
The OBX over-barrel extension is what sets the Dirti 8 apart. With the OBX installed, a portion of the suppressor’s 9.75″ length rides back over the barrel, keeping weight and length closer to your hands for better balance and a quicker-pointing rifle. Prefer a conventional mount? Swap to the flush endcap and run it at 6.83″ and 9.9 oz. A flush mount endcap is included allowing for direct thread on 5/8-24 barrels.

Can the Dirti 8 handle the 7mm Backcountry (80,000 PSI)?
There are uncertain instances. While some customers mention hearing that it handles the 300 RUM from dealers, they still express uncertainty on the 7mm BC or others .
The Dirti 8 is rated for the 7mm Backcountry. It’s built from 100% Grade 5 titanium with eight fully welded baffles and is rated from .22 Hornet up through .300 RUM.
What cartridges is the Dirti 8 rated for?
The Dirti 8 is a .30 caliber suppressor rated for centerfire cartridges from .22 Hornet up to .300 RUM. Popular hunting cartridges it’s rated for include:

What’s the minimum barrel length for the Dirti 8?

Shorter barrels produce higher muzzle pressure and blast. Staying at or above these lengths keeps the suppressor within its rating.
What’s the maximum barrel diameter that fits inside the OBX?
The OBX over-barrel extension clears barrels up to .905″ in diameter, measured where the OBX sleeve overlaps the barrel (roughly the last 3.25″ behind the threads).
That fits most carbon-wrapped barrels as well as sporter, light-sporter and other slimmer steel profiles. [CONFIRM: any profiles that do NOT fit, e.g. heavy Palma / M24]
If your barrel is too large for the OBX, use the included flush endcap to direct-thread the Dirti 8 instead.
What’s the difference between the OBX and flush mount?
Both are included. The OBX (over-barrel extension) slides part of the suppressor back over your barrel, so it adds less overall length and keeps the weight closer to your hands for better balance and a quicker-pointing rifle. The flush endcap direct-threads onto the barrel for the lightest, shortest standalone package.

What thread pitch does the Dirti 8 use?

How quiet is it?
The Dirti 8 averages 134.4 dB with .308 Win. Results vary with cartridge, load and barrel length.
Can I use it on a semi-auto or for rapid fire?
Yes, it will work for either semi-auto or rapid fire. However, this puts a lot of wear on the suppressor.
How do I clean it?
The Dirti 8 has eight fully welded titanium baffles, so it’s a sealed unit and can’t be taken apart. Feel free to soak in suppressor-cleaning solution.
What does it take to buy a suppressor?
Suppressors are NFA items. As of January 1, 2026, the federal tax stamp for suppressors is $0, but you still need an approved ATF Form 4, fingerprints and a background check, and suppressors have to be legal in your state. Your transferring dealer can walk you through the process.
